Blog #4

Researches had found out that there were deep cracks of the ice in the southern Alaska’s Bench Glacier. So the scientist are trying to find out how much water is contained in the crack. Depending how the crack size is will tell how much the sea level will rise in the distant future. The cracks, some of which are 80 meters deep. There is probably more water hidden in those cracks. A team Led by Joel Harper went and drill holes through Bench Glacier’s to about 200 meters of solid ice so they can see how the holes would drain. The team drilled many holes in the glacier to find out how much water was in the crevasses and so in the cracks there was enough water to cover the whole glacier to a depth of 10 cm. And so it depends how much the Earth's sea level to rise if you know the amount of water there are in the cracks of the glaciers in southern Alaska’s Bench Glacier, we'll just see in the future what will happen after the glacier melts.

Silicon Based Multi-Cells
I don't think that it's possible for non-carbon based life forms to exist because in Earth many of the other elements forms a variety of molecular structures. Carbon forms a many different kinds of long molecular chains and rings that form the basics for organic compounds, with hydrogen and oxygen. So living organisms need hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon to survive.

If a non-carbon-based life form was was here on Earth, there would be no way that it could last long because It couldn't compete with other carbon-based life forms all on Earth. And so these are my reasons why non-carbon based life forms are not possible.

Blog #2 Metric System

Ever since the NASA rocket incident happened it should be better if the US did switch to the metric system. The reasons why US should switch to the metric system is because that this system is more accurate and precise that could help the scientist measure properly with out any fail. By just measuring the parts there's a chance that you can make a mistake so using the metric system might be the best way to measure the parts smoothly and will make the NASA rockets work even better.

My Goals for AHS :D

Starting highschool... it will be a challange considering I'm not a little kid anymore in elementary school so it will be hard for me. So thats why I  planned to have goals these four years. I already have issues with my homework and understanding the teacher in elementary school so I hope that in highschool I can break that issue in my life and try to become a hard working student with no problems at all. I really want to do good in my homework, projects, quizzes, and test and I planned to do that. Another goal I had in mine, forever in my life is to overcome my shyness with other people so I can talk to them without being so awkward and quiet, if I overcome this shyness I might make good friends in my highschool life.
If I can't full fill these goals I can never go through life of education and a good career.
